If you can't take the whole weekend - you can train down & join BCI for the ride back north from Oceanside!
Meet at 8:30 at the tracks to buy tickets & board the 857 train @ 8:42. You will be in Oceanside by 9:55 after the 'tourist' have breakfast & join the route back to Irvine. All day costs $10 for the weekend day pass or one way $5.50 for "1/2 price" seniors 65+.

Register in advance with the USMC ! (or else you may have to ride the freeway shoulder between
Ocenside & Las Pulgas Rd - Legal, and shorter, and safer but not as scenic as Camp Pendleton)
Sunday Route 44.1 miles from Oceanside back to Irvine using the
Freeway (unless you have a Bike Pass or access to Camp Pendleton)
