7:00 meeting Convenes:

Club Business:
The Board has put forward a Bylaw amendment which will be briefly presented to members.
Members will vote to ratify the changes at the next General Meeting in June.

Guest Speaker / Program:
Electric Bicycles - What they are & current issues of technology, legal and safe operation and evolving rules and access
A invitational panel discussion with Irvine Police, JAX Manager & Advocates from CABO and OCBC.
As we see more eBikers joining us, revolutionizing the cycling industry, as well as overwhelming limited infrastructure, many BCI members have gotten “electrified” and as we age, many of us will consider it. Learn more about the choices and differences between Class I & II low-speed ebikes, Class III speed ebikes, and out-of-class over-powered electric motorized bicycles (AKA mopeds) and even motor driven cycles being sold as eBikes. Also how the CVC treats them as or different from human powered bicycles.

We will attempt to set up a live Zoom feed; may not get to interact or ask questions as it will be set up on an iPhone on a tripod, and we don’t know how well the sound will pick up, but if you don’t attend in person here is our Zoom Link:
