Ride Start: Pomona - Brackett Air Field
(about 35 miles / 40 minutes from Irvine) ⏏
We will park at the airfield, ride around Puddingstone reservoir past Raging Waters, then up San Dimas Canyon into the San Gabriel Mountains. We will touch the USBR 66 which runs from Santa Monica to Chicago and was recently designated across the State of California. We will ride a short bit of the newly designated US Bicycle Route 66 along Bonita Blvd to regroup at a local Donut & Bagel shop. The short option returns to the airport, the long option continues East on USBR 66 through Laverne, Claremont & onto the Pacific Electric Trail bikeway - as far as Cucamonga Creek Trail, then back. Easy to cut the 40.5 mile route short by turning back anywhere you want before Rancho Cucamonga.
Norm’s Hangar Coffee Shop serves breakfast & lunch until 2pm so stay for lunch after the ride!

Turn around at mile 22: The Pacific Electric Trailhead to cut 13.9 miles = 27.6 miles total
Turn around at mile 24.5 X SAN ANTONIO to cut out 9 miles = 32.5 miles total
